An update on Whales for Wishes

Dear Whales for Wishes Family,

<br>

Given the current COVID-19 crisis we are postponing – but not canceling – the 6th Annual Whales for Wishes bottle share. This was not an easy decision for us to make, but given the current situation and to help ensure the safety and well-being of our community, we knew it was the right decision. Keep reading below for more information regarding the new event date, ticket and refund policies, as well as a new online raffle we will make available to current ticket holders.

<br>

Please keep in mind that because of COVID-19 postponements, there will be more wish kids waiting for wishes than ever before. In this uncertain time, it’s more important than ever for us to step up and bring hope, strength, and joy to wish kids and families in our community.

Regarding the new event date:

<br>

  • We’re shooting for early June, but given the current situation, we cannot say for sure.
  • If there isn’t enough information to make a decision by mid-May, we’ll re-evaluate our plan.
  • We have halted ticket sales but will make more available once a new date is set.
  • The event will still have all the same things you’re grown to love – bottle share, rare beer raffle, and silent auction.

<br>

Regarding tickets and refunds:

<br>

  • If you have a ticket, you’re good to go. It will automatically work for the new date.
  • If we announce the new event date and you can’t make it, you can request a full refund at that time.
  • If you want a refund now, email Chris Webber and he’ll issue one to the card you used.
  • If you can’t make the event and want to convert your ticket into a donation, email Chris Webber and he’ll take care of it.

<br>

Regarding the new online rare beer raffle for ticket holders:

<br>

  • A quarantine-friendly online raffle with Pliny The Younger and other awesome beer will be available to enter and win.
  • If you want, you can enter using the raffle tickets that come with your ticket, or you can have those for the event, which will also have tons of awesome beer to win.
  • More information on this will be announced later, so stay tuned!

<br>

We know this is a huge bummer, and it was something we were hoping to avoid, but we’re committed to putting on an amazing event and raising money for the kids. We’ll relay information as it becomes available, but feel free to ask questions here or contact Mark via email.

Cheers,

The W4W Team
